Meet the Board

Picture

I am excited to kick off my 7th year on the PTSA board! Being involved is such a fun way to stay connected & give back to our school community. My husband Patrick & I have a 7th grader, Ben, & a 2nd grader, Lily. Life is basically a whirlwind of backpacks, snack wrappers, & sports gear. When I’m not at school, you’ll usually find me cheering from the sidelines or parked at soccer practice, where my car doubles as an audiobook retreat. Our family is always on the move—whether it’s soccer, track, the pool, the playground, Kings Island, or dinner with friends. We thrive on the chaos, & we wouldn’t have it any other way!

In my role on the board I help bring parents, teachers, and students together while building strong relationships to nurture a positive, engaged school community. I lead meetings, help coordinate events, manage and collaborate with the board to guide decisions and handle finances. All while ensuring everything follows PTSA rules and school guidelines.

This will be my 5th school year on the PTSA board, and I’m excited to be stepping into the VP of Programs role this year! Prior to this year, I have held roles as Secretary and VP of Membership. You may also know my husband, Brandon, as he frequently volunteers to be the school mascot and helps facilitate the All Pro Dads program. We have two children at SVA — our son, Max, is an incoming 6th grader, and our daughter, Adeline, will be starting 2nd grade. As a family, we love traveling, hiking and exploring all nature has to offer, playing board games, and reading books! When I’m not volunteering at the school, I am the HR Manager for an events and exhibit design company in Cincinnati.

In my role on the board I am primarily responsible for planning PTSA sponsored events and partnering with school leaders to support various assemblies and events during the school day. I am planning several new events this year, so stay tuned for some exciting announcements! If you would like to help plan, decorate, or volunteer at any of our events, please reach out!

I've been on the PTSA board for three years. I have two children, Tony, a junior at SK and Ledisi, who is in 3rd grade at SVA. I work at the Northern Kentucky Water District and the after-school program at Summit View. When I’m not at my day job or helping at school you might find me with my son at his bowling league or with my daughter at a cheer competition. We also enjoy traveling to Texas to visit family when we can. If I happen to have a day to myself I like relaxing at home catching up on my favorite competition cooking shows; Cut Throat Kitchen, Beat Bobby Flay, BBQ Brawl, & Chopped.

In my role on the board I coordinate events that foster engagement among students & staff. For example, I organize the Records Day Breakfast on the first day back for teachers as well as Staff Appreciation Week. Additionally, I manage the Santa Shop, 8th grade dance & picnic, the Bridging/Promotion nights for both 5th & 8th graders, & many more events throughout the year.

This is my 2nd year on the PTSA board. My husband Victor and I have 5 children. Our kids range from 23-9. Our daughter, Grayson is the last at SVA and will be going into the 4th grade. I am the Director of Recreation for the City of Ft. Thomas as well as a full time Chaos Coordinator, fueled by coffee and sarcasm. My friends and family are my world as well as my 4 year old Newfypoo, Magnolia. I also love American Saddlebreds, anything artistic, a house full of people and traveling to new places! Wishing everyone an amazing school year!

In my role on the board I own all things memberships and donations related. I am really hopeful this year for 100% staff participation and a large increase in guardian sign ups to join our organization. I would love to change the perception that you have to volunteer time to join. You don’t! We all give in different ways! In addition, I partner with area businesses for sponsorships and donations for our organization.

I’m proud to be serving my 3rd year as PTSA Ways & Means Chair as well as a Parent Representative on the SVA Site-Based Council. My husband of 15 years Michael & I have 3 daughters Naomi (5th), & twins Cora & Madilyn (4th). They keep us on our toes with softball tournaments, dance competitions, & gymnastics meets. My favorite role is cheering them on from the sidelines. After leaving the corporate world, I’ve embraced a flexible schedule —whether it’s volunteering at the New Hope Center or supporting school & youth programs. I love traveling, family adventures, curling up with a good book, or sneaking in some Law & Order: SVU. Our home is lively with our dogs Clay & Odee, cat Jasmine, fish, tadpoles, & a very loved duck, Bubby.

In my role on the board I plan, organize, and execute school fundraisers and prize days that bring excitement and real impact to our students—like our annual Fun Run, which raised nearly $60,000 last year alone. I love creating experiences that energize our community and directly support the kids and staff at Summit View Academy.

This is my first year on the PTSA board. My husband Mark and I have been married for 19 years in December. We have 2 daughters, Makayla and Avie, and a dog named Rocket who ironically is not fast. Makayla will be in 6th grade at SVA this year and Avie will be in 5th grade at Kenton Elementary. I am a work from home mom and I love volunteering at school! I have been the yearbook advisor at Kenton for the past 2 years and will continue for 1 more year. I am very excited for our first year at SVA and to get involved here this year as well! In my spare time I enjoy playing games and traveling the country, camping with my family. The Smoky Mountains is one of our favorite places to camp. I also love reading suspenseful crime novels.

In my role on the board I am responsible for recording the meeting minutes at all board and general meetings. I am also in charge of public communications including the newsletter, website, and school bulletin board keeping everything up to date with the latest information and news.

I have been the SVA PTSA treasurer for the last four years and have loved getting to know students, parents, and school staff in this role. My husband Ryan and I have two boys - Owen, who will be a sophomore at SK, and Evan, who will be a 7th grader at SVA. We also have two dogs and two cats - I am a huge animal lover and would have many more animals if I could! Most of my days are spent as a pricing specialist and data analyst at PNC Bank. I have worked there for 17 years in various positions, but really enjoy the role I have now. In my spare time, I like to shop, read, hang out with friends, and play Grow a Garden with my kids (when they let me join them). You may not know that I am a second-degree Black Belt, and I know how to shoot a bow and arrow!

In my role on the board I am responsible for managing the organization’s finances, including maintaining accurate records, tracking income & expenses, & preparing financial reports. I oversee the budgeting process, ensure compliance with financial policies, & safeguard the proper use of funds to support our school’s programs & initiatives.

I have been involved with PTSA since 2019 and 2nd year as the Finance Chair. I love being involved with PTSA and I am always in awe of the hardworking families that make SVA an amazing place! My husband Jeremy and I have been together for 20 years. Our two children, Leonardo and Gianna, are in 6th and 3rd grade. I write grants for a local arts organization. You can usually find me with my nose in a book, cooking up themed foods for the family, or overdecorating for every holiday. Fun facts: I’ve been to 26 countries, I’m a former art/drama teacher, I read around 100 books a year, and I talk to my family in Sicily every week.

In my role on the board I provide support to the treasurer. I examine the monthly financial reports and help address any financial issues that may come up. Essentially, I act as an additional set of financial eyes for the PTSA.

I have served on the board for 4 years. I live in Independence with Justin, my husband of 20 years (in October), our 4th grade daughter Sophia, our Golden Retriever puppy, Willow, and my mom, Debbie. I am a social worker, and have spent the last 13 years at the board of Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities Services supervising an amazing team of 8 people that serve children with disabilities. I love vacationing with my family and this summer we did a cruise to Alaska and it was AMAZING! I also LOVE the beach! You may also catch me on my down time reading, binge watching a good show, or playing Euchre with family and friends.

In my role on the board I assist in recruiting and scheduling volunteers for all of our events. This entails coordinating needs with the event planner, creating sign-ups, confirming background checks, and tracking volunteer hours. I love helping to coordinate the volunteers. They are the backbone of our program and they help make all of our events so successful!

This is my 3rd year as part of the PTSA at SVA. I’m married to Andy. We have 2 children, Reed and Hannah. They’re in 7th and 4th grade. We also have our own little zoo, made up of 2 dogs, 2 cats, a guinea pig, and a leopard gecko. I’m a preschool teacher at Gloria Dei, in one of the 4’s classrooms. I’m also a cancer survivor (5 years)! I love true crime in all forms - books, podcasts, documentaries. As a family, we love to spend time outside. Hiking, biking, swimming, and we love going to King’s Island!

In my role on the board I collaborate with local t-shirt businesses to design and produce custom designs and spirit wear for SVA. There’s nothing better than spotting our amazing students wearing spirit wear designs that I’ve helped create!
